Jay Carlis talks with Dan Drago on the 25 O’Clock Podcast

It was a lot of fun a few weeks back chatting with Dan Drago on his 25 O’Clock Podcast. The longest running podcast focused on the Philly music scene. Dan and I first met waiting to go on stage at a Rober Hunter tribute at the Admore Music Hall on January 25, 2020. Dan opened the show with two solo acoustic tunes way outside the mainstream Grateful Dead canon, Mountains of the Moon and If I Had the World to Give. We were amazed by the size of the crowd and the enthusiasm, both a little nervous about living up to the expectations. Dan was fantastic and after Meaghan Kyle sang one of the most beautiful Sugarees that I ever heard, I got to join the Dead Friends and kick off the full band portion of the show with Bertha and Brown Eyed-Women. The crowd was fantastic, dancing and singing along. And then I got to join my friends in the audience to dance and sing along as well. What an incredible night and I’m so glad that I got to meet Dan Drago and spend some time talking about my new record on the 25 O’Clock Podcast.
